In Kuwait arrested the man for comments about prophet Mohammed in Twitter

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kuwait arrested in the evening on Tuesday, March 27, the man for insulting comments to prophet Mohammed in a network of the microblogs Twitter.

In the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs published by the state news agency KUNA, it is said that the man slandered Islam and prophet Mohammed, his satellites and the wife, reports Reuters. Before the trial beginning it will be interrogated.

The Kuwaiti mass media quote the detainee who denies charges: “I never would attack the Sacred Prophet”, and assumes that someone cracked his page.

The ministry in the statement “regrets for abuse of social networks of some individuals for an insult of the main Islamic and cultural wealth and promises to show zero tolerance in fight against so serious violations”.

Blasphemy in Kuwait is forbidden by the law on the press and publishing since 1961. However it isn’t punished by the death penalty, as in Saudi Arabia.

In September the court of Kuwait found guilty the person of an insult of governors of the states of the Persian Gulf and placement of comments raising interfaith discord in social networks. But guilty at once it was released, as the appointed term for a waiting time of the resolution of court left, the human rights activist reported.

Let’s remind, in Saudi Arabia arrested journalist Hamza Kashgari, accused of blasphemy for твит about prophet Mohammed. It is threatened by the death penalty though it removed the message and apologized before Muslims.
